Hello, I'm Elena Hart.

I'm a wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas, and I care most about the moments that nobody planned: the glance across the room, the laugh before the vows, the hug that goes on a little too long.

I started photographing weddings because I wanted to keep hold of how a day felt, not only how it looked. These days I still work the same way: quietly, in the light that's already there, and always with the couple at the center.

How I show up

Three habits I keep on every wedding, big or small.

  1. Natural light first

    I work with the light that's already there: a bright window, open shade, the last hour of the evening. No stage sets, nothing that feels staged.

  2. Candid over posed

    A few gentle prompts to get you started, then I step back and let you be with each other. That is where the best pictures come from.

  3. A calm presence

    I stay quiet, kind and unhurried, so the day feels like yours and not like a photo shoot you happen to be attending.
